Yayoi Kusama Exhibition (Unit 21st April 2025)

Curated by the NGV in partnership with the artist, this exhibition is tailored for Australian audiences and showcases many of Yayoi Kusama's works that have never been seen before. It features a wide array of the artist’s well-known immersive rooms, including the world debut of her latest infinity mirror room installation.

With over 180 works on display, this is the largest exhibition of Kusama's art ever held in Australia and one of the most extensive retrospectives presented globally. The exhibition spans painting, sculpture, collage, fashion, video, and installation, highlighting the remarkable range of Kusama’s multidisciplinary approach.

The entire ground floor of NGV International will be dedicated to Yayoi Kusama, extending into public spaces. The exhibition will also unveil a brand-new kaleidoscopic infinity mirror room, designed specifically for this showcase, premiering globally in Melbourne.
